STANSBURY PARK — A 56-year-old man died following a car crash in Tooele County Wednesday afternoon, according to the Utah Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred at 2:55 p.m. at the intersection of state Route 36 and Village Boulevard in Stansbury Park.

The driver of a maroon Chevrolet Tahoe going northbound on S.R. 36 in the left turn lane hesitated before pulling into the intersection to turn left. A white dump truck going south on S.R. 36 collided with the Tahoe T-bone style, the UHP said.

The identity of the man who died has not yet been released. The dump truck driver was uninjured.

S.R. 36 was closed to a single lane for about three hours after the crash.

The crash remained under investigation Wednesday evening.
