SALT LAKE CITY — Police have arrested a man who they say shot and killed a 21-year-old man early Sunday.
Roy Anthony Duran, 20, was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail for investigation of murder, obstruction of justice and illegal firearm possession.
Duran turned himself into Clearfield police on Monday, according to a statement from Salt Lake police.
Witnesses said Duran got into an argument with several others at a warehouse Halloween party near 500 West and 600 South, according to police. He is accused of later punching Isaiah Valerio, 21, in the head, then shooting him and fleeing the scene.
Officers arrived and found Valerio in critical condition and began performing first aid. When firefighters and paramedics arrived, Valerio was pronounced dead.
