TAYLORSVILLE, Utah (AP) -- A mother of a baby who died from a drug overdose has admitted to moving her five-month old baby's body from one location to another.

Yesterday, 23-year-old Mary Joyce Lacey pleaded guilty to third-degree desecration of a human corpse. In exchange, prosecutors dropped a charge of possession of methamphetamine.

Lacey has also promised to testify against her boyfriend, 44-year-old Raymond Chesley, who also faces child endangement charges.

Last December, authorities say Chesley left a bag of meth within the reach of Laceys' baby girl, who later died after ingesting the drug. The mother then moved the body from Chesley's home to Murray to keep police away from Chesley, who was on parole.
