TOYLAND — Have you been looking for the perfect prank to pull on your British granddad? Look no further! The gag that was recently unearthed from an old episode of Grand Illusions is sure to fit the bill.
What's that? You haven't heard of Grand Illusions? This charming YouTube channel features Tim "The Toyman" Rowlett and his vast collection of toys and novelties. Nearly 2 million folks subscribe to the channel and Tim's videos often generate millions of views.
For the episode in question, Tim is joined by an old pal named Clive Panto. Tim explains that he has invited his guest to showcase something truly unique. Clive displays the contraption, which he refers to as a "lung capacity tester." Apparently, it was used by Welsh miners to gauge whether their lungs were strong enough to work for extended periods of time underground.
Clive blows into the device, which looks like a steampunk pipe, and the small wheel spins responsively. The host is clearly impressed. But when Tim uses the lung capacity tester, the results are strikingly different.
How does the prank work? According to Clive, it's a closely guarded secret. But let's just say that if you know how to play the harmonica, you'll have no problem using the lung capacity tester as expertly as Clive did. And your unsuspecting victim will no doubt get the same "messy" surprise as poor Tim.
