THE TRACK — I've never been a big fan of car racing. No reason in particular.
I don't think anything is wrong with it, and millions of people around the world love it. From NASCAR to Formula 1, car racing is a popular sport. It's just not something I ever got into.
The closest I ever got to really throwing my hat in the ring was when I watched my cousin compete in a demolition derby. I have no idea if he won, or even if everyone got out alive, but I remember having a good time — but not that good of a time, I suppose. I was about 14 then, and I've never been to another demolition derby.
What I'm trying to say is, I finally found the car racing I'm into, and I never thought it would be this.
YouTuber Steve Wilkins has posted multiple videos of what he calls the Treadmill Series Race. It's pretty simple: He puts toy cars on a treadmill, cranks up the speed and sees which car lasts. Doesn't sound like much, but you're going to be far more entertained by this than you want to be.
In fact, you'll likely be questioning your judgment and sense of humor when the video is over, but who cares? You had a good time.
Wilkins calls the whole race and this man is into it. He gets you more hyped about the race than watching half the field wipeout in the first few seconds.
I'd like to thank Wilkins for entertaining me so much today and for living up to that promise that the expensive treadmill you bought would not go to waste and collect dust in the corner of the basement.
