SALT LAKE CITY — Here are the latest updates on the fallout from Wednesday when a mob breached the U.S. Capitol in a last-ditch effort to derail the counting of Electoral College votes for President-elect Joe Biden.
Supporters of President Donald Trump protested outside the Capitol and eventually made their way inside the building on Wednesday afternoon, prompting a lockdown of the building. The ensuing violence left five people dead, including a police officer.
