TORNADO COUNTRY — Tornados are arguably one of the top three most terrifying weather events ever.
Just like most large weather phenomenons, they are terrifying in their destructive nature. But one of the most difficult things about tornados is that they can completely destroy anything in their direct path, yet they can leave everything just next door untouched. It’s almost as though they directly target some people and ignore others.
People who live in tornado country are taught from a young age what to do in a tornado. Schools conduct tornado drills along with fire drills, and people build bunkers just in case a tornado comes their way.
Now imagine you didn’t grow up in tornado country and you spot a massive tornado on the horizon. You are on a road in the middle of nowhere in your car with no other cars in sight, you realize that the tornado is coming directly toward you, and there’s no time to drive away from the massive beast.
That’s just what happened to the man in this featured video.
With a sight like that coming your way, would you keep your cool and calmly film the event? Or would you completely lose it and wait for your life to flash before your eyes because death feels imminent?
You’ll just have to watch the video to see what this man does and how close he comes to being sucked up by a twister. (Hint: I would not like to be in his shoes.)
