CEDAR CITY — Funeral arrangements have been announced for Fred C. Adams, founder of Utah Shakespeare Festival, who died on Feb. 6.
Adams was 89 years old when he died, following a 22-year-long battle with cancer. Viewings and a funeral will be held in his hometown of Cedar City.
Viewings will be held Thursday from 5-8 p.m. and Friday from 9-10:30 a.m. at the Southern Utah Museum of Art in the Beverly Taylor Sorenson Center for the Arts.
His funeral will be Friday at 11 a.m. in the Randall L. Jones Theatre. A video broadcast of funeral proceedings will show in the Auditorium Theatre with overflow seating. The funeral will also be live-streamed on Southern Utah University's Youtube channel.
Instead of flowers, Adams asked that donations be made to Utah Shakespeare Festival.
To honor Adams, attendees should wear something "with a little sparkle."
