MILWAUKEE (AP) — Fans who turned out for NBA action in Milwaukee Tuesday night didn't get to see two of the league's biggest stars in action. Khris Middleton scored 30 points and Brook Lopez added 28 as the Bucks defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 115-101. Milwaukee played without Giannis Antetokounmpo (YAH'-nihs an-teh-toh-KOON'-poh), who is nursing an injured ankle, while LeBron James sat out due to a sore groin.

ATLANTA (AP) — The Houston Rockets' James Harden continues his torrid scoring pace. The 'Beard' had 31 points and 10 assists in a 121-105 win over the Hawks in Atlanta. Clint Capela added 26 points and 11 rebounds and the Houston Rockets won their third straight. The Rockets have won 12 of 13 and have 10 wins in their last 13 road games.

DAYTON, Ohio (AP) — The NCAA men's college basketball tournament is under way. Fairleigh Dickinson rallied to win its first ever Tournament game, taking down Prairie View A&M 82-76. Darnell Edge scored a career-high 33 points, and was 7 for 9 from beyond the 3-point line for the winning Knights. In the other opener, Kevin McClain scored 29 points to lead Belmont to an 81-70 win over Temple.

RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) — Dougie Hamilton scored in the shootout, Petr Mrazek stopped Pittsburgh cold and the Carolina Hurricanes beat the Penguins 3-2. The Hurricanes have won four of five. Justin Williams scored the tying goal with 1:56 left in regulation, and Brock McGinn also scored for the Hurricanes.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Washington Capitals will get a chance to celebrate their Stanley Cup championship with President Donald Trump at the White House on Monday. But forward Brett Connolly says he plans to respectfully decline. He's not the first to pass on meeting Trump. The NBA's Golden State Warriors rejected a visit. And after only two of the NFL's Philadelphia Eagles planned to attend, the president rescinded the team's invitation.
