NEW YORK (AP) — It was a busy week for coach Kelly Graves and the Oregon Ducks. A win over previously unbeaten Mississippi State started off the fourth-ranked Ducks' week. Graves then sat out Oregon's next two games to serve a suspension for NCAA violations. While Graves sat out the wins over Air Force and UC Irvine, his team had no problem continuing to win, thanks in no small part to Sabrina Ionescu. The junior guard had back-to-back triple-doubles _ setting the NCAA record for men and women in the process.
TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) — Kansas is likely to fall out of the No. 1 spot in The Associated Press college basketball poll following its 80-76 loss to No. 18 Arizona State. No. 2 Duke could move back into the top of the AP Top 25 after surviving a test against No. 12 Texas Tech at Madison Square Garden.
HONOLULU (AP) — Zigmars Raimo had 14 points and 17 rebounds, Jack Purchase added 14 points and 10 boards and Hawaii beat Colorado 70-62 in overtime in the Diamond Head Classic. Purchase hit a 3-pointer to tie it at 54 and Brocke Stepteau made a driving layup on their next possession to give Hawaii a lead with 32 seconds left in regulation.
LAS VEGAS (AP) — JoJo Zamora made a game-winning 3-pointer with 1.9 seconds left and scored 28 points to help New Mexico State beat Washington State 75-72 at the Las Vegas Classic. Zamora sank 9 of 11 shots, including six 3-pointers, and he also had seven assists.
