OREM — The body of a man who was last seen April 25 was located Friday morning, police said.

The body of Robert Lynn Flygare, 75, was found near railroad tracks near 2000 South just west of I-15 about 8:30 a.m., Orem police said.

His body was recovered with the help of the Utah County Search and Rescue Team and Utah Transit Authority police and taken to the State Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy.

A cause of death was not immediately known. However, police said in a Facebook post, "no one is in danger and we aren't looking for anyone at this point in our investigation."

Flygare was last seen walking in the area of University Parkway and I-15 in Orem after purchasing drinks at a McDonald's. Surveillance video showed him holding a cardboard cup holder containing two drinks purchased at the restaurant.

“It’s kind of concerning to us because he’s carrying two drinks when he’s by himself,” Lt. Martinez said on May 3. “So we anticipate that he was going to meet at least one other person probably down near the underpass there by the train tracks.”

Authorities found the same type of cup holder near the tracks that run along the west side of I-15 while canvassing the area for him.

Flygare's son, Kelly, said Flygare was known to help homeless people in the area. Police said Flygare was healthy and an avid walker.

"We and the Flygare family appreciate everyone who helped search for Bob and for the posts you have all shared," Orem police wrote in the Facebook post. "Our thoughts and prayers are with them and let's all please respect their privacy while they mourn his passing."
