TAYLORSVILLE — A teenager is in serious condition after a shooting in Taylorsville, police said.
An 18-year-old man was sent to the hospital in serious, but stable, condition, said Unified Police Lt. Brian Lohrke.
The shooting took place shortly after 1:30 p.m. near 4620 S. Redwood Road, and happened in a cemetery.
A black, 4-door sedan drove through a semi-circle that runs through the cemetery, and someone inside shot at three people who were visiting a friend's grave, Lohrke said.
The 18-year-old was shot in the upper body, and his friends drove him to the hospital, he added.
Police believe the shooting may have been gang-related.
"This wasn't a random act by any means," Lohrke said.
Police are working to identify the shooter and had officers at the hospital Saturday evening attempting to talk with the victim.
All other people who may have been involved with the shooting fled from the area.
