(KSL News) A road that links Mapleton to Springville will be closed for about a year for a massive overhaul.
The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) is closing State Road 77, also known as 400 South, to add a lane in each direction and build two new bridges. However, officials say the closure will not block traffic to nearby businesses.
In closing the road entirely, UDOT hopes to save enough money that it'll be able to put in a new waterline for Springville.
