THE CAT KINGDOM — We're just a few weeks away from this year's Super Bowl, and we always want to know what commercials are going to premiere during the game. But sometimes it's not the high-budget, grandiose Super Bowl ads that blow us away.
While it's exciting to find out what companies spent millions of dollars on a clever 30-second spot, I don't think any of them hold a candle to this gem from FurKids in Atlanta, Ga.
FurKids is a volunteer animal shelter that wanted to make a cheap commercial in hopes of getting people to adopt some pets. A regular volunteer at the shelter had the idea to cast her brother, Paul Preston, in the commercial because he's a funny guy. He's not a comedian and doesn't even work at the shelter. Preston is a contractor who happens to know how to tell a joke or two.
Yesterday's Have You Seen This?
This commercial has terrible audio, bad camera work and the camerawoman won't stop laughing, but somehow that all makes this hilarious commercial even better. Preston is a riot and the Sarah McLachlan song at the end is nothing short of brilliant.
FurKids was just hoping to draw some attention to their little shelter, but instead they have become a viral sensation and the views on YouTube just keep climbing.
While I love this ridiculous commercial from start to finish, I do have to say that the "inflatable-wavy arm guy" is the real triumph here.
