WASHINGTON (AP) — Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has gone on Twitter, calling accusations of sexual misconduct "100 percent fabricated and made-up charges." In the tweet posted today, the New York businessman said the allegations are being "pushed strongly" by the Hillary Clinton campaign and the news media.

SEATTLE (AP) — The Pacific Northwest is getting battered by harsh storms after a tornado roared through downtown Manzanita, Oregon, yesterday. With thousands of people in Seattle left without power, meteorologists are saying they should expect the remnants of a typhoon to hit the region today.

KIGALI, Rwanda (AP) — Nearly 200 nations whose representatives have been meeting in Rwanda have reached a deal to limit the use of greenhouse gases far more powerful than carbon dioxide in a major effort to fight climate change. The talks on hydrofluorocarbons, or HFCs, have been called the first test of global will since the historic Paris Agreement to cut carbon emissions was reached last year. HFCs are described as the world's fastest-growing climate pollutant and are used in air conditioners and refrigerators.

BERLIN (AP) — Chancellor Angela Merkel says Germany wants friendly ties with Britain but won't drop its insistence that London can only enjoy full access to the European Union's internal market if it allows free immigration of EU citizens. British Prime Minister Theresa May, who hasn't yet formally triggered EU exit talks, appears prepared to prioritize immigration controls.

LUCKNOW, India (AP) — Police say at least 19 people were killed and 25 others injured in a stampede as they were heading to a Hindu religious ceremony in northern India. A police officer says the stampede occurred Saturday on the outskirts of Varanasi, a city in Uttar Pradesh state known for its temples.
