SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Authorities say an inmate at the Cache County Jail has died in an apparent suicide.
The sheriff's office says the inmate, who has not yet been identified, died Tuesday night.
Jail staff had administered CPR and used a defibrillator, but those attempts and efforts by paramedics who responded to the jail were unsuccessful.
The inmate died at the scene.
Members of the Northern Utah Critical Incident Investigation Team are looking into the death.
