John Daley Reporting Leaders of ReAL Salt Lake huddled with elected officials from both Salt Lake County and Salt Lake City this afternoon. The goal is securing some kind of stadium deal.

That meeting was happening today in Salt Lake Mayor Rocky Anderson's office. The mayor has become a central figure in trying to broker a deal, but it comes at the 11th hour with team owner Dave Checketts saying he's ready to sell the team if a deal can't be made.

The meeting happened in the corner office behind closed doors, with team officials and the mayor talking with the county mayor and members of the Salt Lake County Council. As key players emerged from the meeting, specific numbers were not disclosed and council members, like David Wilde, who we followed down the hall, say there's still no deal and they're not sure there will be one.

David Wilde, Salt Lake County Council Member: "As I left, it was still pretty much up in the air. I didn't see much movement. A lot of talk, but not a lot of movement."

Peter Corroon, Salt Lake County Mayor: "We talked about return on investment for the citizens. What is ReAL going to be able to give back? It's not going to be a give away-- parking revenue, ticket revenue, investment in a soccer field in Salt Lake."

Jenny Wilson, Salt Lake County Member: "I think a lot of questions were raised and answered and I don't think we're walking away today knowing the outcome."

Discussions are still focused exclusively on the site the team selected in Sandy. Tonight, Sandy's spokesperson tells us the Governor, Sandy Mayor Tom Dolan, state lawmakers, including the House Speaker and Senate President, will be meeting with county officials and Dave Checketts. The question is whether there'll be a deal or not.

Clearly, this is the final push for a deal, if there's going to be one.
