GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) — The Atlantic Coast Conference's digital channel will launch Friday and live-stream 331 nonrevenue sporting events this fall for online viewing.

The league announced the creation of the ACC Network Extra during last month's football media days. It's part of a larger plan to launch an ACC Network TV channel through its partnership with ESPN, with a tentative launch date set for August 2019.

In a release Thursday, the league said the events airing on the digital channel will be available to users with access to WatchESPN and the ESPN app. The league plans to air more than 600 total Olympic sporting events such as soccer, volleyball, field hockey and cross country during the upcoming 2016-17 season.
