ATLANTA (AP) — Atlanta Braves catcher Tyler Flowers has been reinstated from the 15-day disabled list after missing 30 games with a broken left hand.

To make room for Flowers on the 25-man roster, Atlanta placed catcher A.J. Pierzynski on the disabled list with a strained left hamstring.

Flowers' return should help the Braves, who rank last in the major leagues in runs and homers. Flowers is hitting .341 in 41 at-bats with runners in scoring position.

Anthony Recker started at catcher Wednesday against Minnesota.
