THIS IS LARRY MANKIN, PRESIDENT OF THE SALT LAKE CHAMBER, WITH YOUR METRO BUSINESS REPORT

AT&T Wireless has begun offering new unlimited calling and “always on” high-speed data service in Salt Lake. The services use AT&T’s next generation “Global Standard for Mobile Communications” or “GSM™” and “General Packet Radio Service” or “GPRS.” GSM/GPRS service is also available in hundreds of other cities and in major markets.

Furst Construction has completed the Stevens-Henager College Campus in Ogden. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held last Friday. The 33,000 square foot campus was formerly an Intermountain Health Care facility and required extensive remodeling.

Intermountain Health Care has expanded the hours of its Rose Park Elementary School clinic. Originally the clinic only operated two evenings a week, but because of its success, it now is open Monday and Thursday in the evening and Wednesday and Friday in the afternoon. This will increase the number of annual patients from 500 to approximately 3,000.

The Utah Microenterprise Loan Fund is holding an orientation on how small business entrepreneurs, especially those who are socially or economically disadvantaged, can obtain small business loans of up to $10,000. The orientation is tomorrow, September 24, at 9:30 a.m. Call 269-8408 to register.

The Chamber is serving up more of the city’s best business networking. Join us at the Samba Grill in the Gateway at 5pm this Thursday, September 26th. There will be the usual great food and prizes--and new business relationships. To reserve a spot call the Chamber at 328-5050 or see us on the web at saltlakechamber.org.
