SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Utah's oil and gas wells produced a record level in just one month with more than 29 (B)billion cubic feet of natural gas.
That's according to data from the Utah Division of Oil, Gas and Mining. The division says that's the highest monthly production total in more than a decade -- since March 1995. It's also the 12th highest producing month since the division began tracking monthly production back in 1984.
Officials expect our nation's demand for natural gas will jump more than 50 percent within the next 20 years.
