SALT LAKE CITY — Demolition derbies are a staple of summer fun in Utah.
Communities across the state come together to enjoy watching cars smash into each other, so we compiled a list of eight favorite Utah derbies.

Cache Valley Demolition Derby
Funds raised at this demolition derby go to support the Cache County Sheriff’s Office’s rescue and emergency operations. Tickets, which can be purchased online, cost $10 for adults and $5 for children under the age of 12. Children under 3 who sit on laps will be admitted for free.

Wasatch County Demolition Derby ===============================
This demolition derby, which is part of the Wasatch County Fair Days, is so popular that tickets have reportedly sold out already. However, some indoor seating with a video feed of the event may still be available.

Summit County Fair ==================
Summit County’s demolition derby is part of the opening day celebration for its fair. Tickets cost between $11.50 and $13.50.

Juab County Fair ================
Juab County’s demolition derby boasts a $10,000 prize for first place. Tickets for the demolition derby, which cost $12, can be purchased online. Children age 2 and younger can attend for free when sitting on a lap. Event organizers noted tickets sell out early.

Utah County Fair ================
The day after its monster trucks show, the Utah County Fair will host a demolition derby in the grand arena at the Spanish Fork Fairgrounds. Tickets, which went on sale June 6, cost between $17 and $24. Children age 3 and younger will be admitted for free if they sit on a lap.

Beaver County Fair ==================
Beaver County’s demolition derby comes on the last day of its fair. Tickets cost $5 per person, with children age 5 and under admitted for free.

Part of the county fair, Iron County’s 2016 demolition derby will include mini-car races and a powder puff category. Tickets cost $9 for adults and $5 for children under the age of 12.

West Jordan Demolition Derby
Hosted by Stirrin' Dirt Racing and considered to be part of the Western Stampede, this demolition derby has a total payout of $25,000. Tickets can be purchased online and cost between $8 and $10.
