PROVO — With 18 student Emmys in 13 years, Brigham Young University’s animation program is a powerhouse.

Its most recent student Emmy, presented at the 2016 College Television Awards on May 25, went to Jordan Kamalu for his work on the film score of “Papa.” As fresh recognitions roll in, it is the perfect time to enjoy rewatching winners of years past.

Below are the five animated shorts that received awards from both the College Television Awards and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts, and Science’s Student Academy Awards. Even more shorts can be viewed on BYU Animation’s Vimeo channel.
