SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- A former TV personality and his business partner believe child pornography charges against them should be dropped.
Matthew Duhamel and Charles Granere filed a motion to dismiss indictments. The men argue the Web site they operated that showed pictures of young girl wearing scant clothing in suggestive poses does NOT rise to the level of pornography.
Defense attorneys also argue the pictures show children fully clothed and show no nudity.
Last March, the men were indicted on felony counts of transporting, receiving and possessing child pornography.
Before his arrest, Duhamel was a host of a local, late-night talk show on K-P-N-Z. Duhamel also did weather forecasts for a short time on K-U-T-V under the name Matt McCoy.
