Samantha Hayes ReportingA man died near Cedar City when his truck rolled over. It doesn't appear weather was a factor in the accident.
The man's truck rolled 80 something feet down a hillside and into the river. The man was trapped underneath the truck when it landed upside down in the river. This happened around 11 am along SR 14, five miles or so from Cedar City.
Troopers say the man was driving west when he lost control of his truck, skidding off the road.
Brian Bairett, UHP: "We're still investigating that, but it looks as if the vehicle drifted over the center line and then tried to correct and got on the brakes, and then it got out of control sideways and rolled off down the side of the hill there."
Crews pulled the vehicle from the river. Troopers are investigating the accident more thoroughly to find out why the man lost control. He was seventy-years old.
