SALT LAKE CITY — The following is an up-to-the-minute look at the six state primaries and caucuses voting on Tuesday for the 2016 presidential race.
Democratic candidates are vying for 792 total delegates in five states. Florida, Missouri and Ohio will award delegates on a winner-take-all basis while Illinois and North Carolina award delegates on a proportional basis.
Republican candidates are vying for 367 total delegates in six states. Florida, Missouri, Ohio, and the Northern Mariana Islands will award delegates on a winner-take-all basis while Illinois and North Carolina award delegates on a proportional basis.
All five states will take part in a state primary while the Northern Mariana Islands will hold a caucus. Each state will end their polling at a different time throughout the day, with the earliest results coming in around 5 p.m. MST. Check back throughout the day to see updated results.
