ST. GEORGE, Utah (AP) -- St. George is in the spotlight as one magazine says it's one of 12 great places you've never heard of.
The Mother Earth News magazine says mild winters, skiing, mountain biking and an abundance of golf courses among red-rock scenery make St. George a great place to live.
The magazine also gives credit to environmentalists in St. George for preserving the natural landscapes in the area.
Mother Earth News is the nation's largest environmental magazine. It's designed for readers who are interested in green living.
St. George is highlighted in the magazine's August-September issue.
