THOMASTON, Ga. (AP) — Authorities say an elementary teacher accused of having a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old boy has been arrested in west central Georgia.
Upson County Sheriff Dan Kilgore tells multiple news outlets Wednesday that 47-year-old Jennifer Lynn Robinson has been charged with child molestation and aggravated child molestation. Kilgore says Robinson is a teacher at Upson-Lee South Elementary and the victim attended Upson-Lee Middle School, about 70 miles south of Atlanta.
Robinson was arrested Sunday.
Kilgore says the relationship lasted from July 1, 2015 to Feb. 21, 2016. Kilgore says they had sex in the teacher's kindergarten classroom over summer break and in her car near the playground area of the school.
Robinson is being held in the Upton County Jail without bond. It's not clear if she has an attorney.
