TEHRAN, Iran (AP) — A Massachusetts man who had been detained in an Iranian prison for 40 days has returned home following his release. Thirty-year-old Matthew Trevithick arrived at Boston's Logan Airport early Sunday evening. He had traveled to Iran in September for a language program at an institute associated with Tehran University. Meanwhile, American journalist Jason Rezaian (reh-ZY'-ahn) and two other Americans released by Iran have arrived in Germany.

KABUL, Afghanistan (AP) — An Afghan official says the second round of talks aimed at bringing an end to the war by charting a roadmap to peace are set to begin in Kabul. A spokesman for the Foreign Affairs Ministry says representatives of Afghanistan, Pakistan, China and the United States will meet for one day. The discussions will focus on details such as where and when the Afghan government will hold face-to-face meetings with representatives of the Taliban.

CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — It was the last Democratic matchup between the Democratic presidential candidates before voting begins in two weeks. And Hillary Clinton and Bernie Sanders tangled repeatedly Sunday night over who's tougher on gun control. Clinton rapped Sanders for voting repeatedly with the National Rifle Association. Sanders, in turn, said Clinton's assertion that he kowtowed to the gun lobby was "very disingenuous" and pointed to his lifetime rating of a D- from the NRA.

NORDEN, Calif. (AP) — The search for a ski instructor who went missing at a Northern California ski resort has been suspended until morning. Sunday's search was hampered by bad weather. The Placer County Sheriff's Office says avalanche danger was high Sunday and stormy weather kept searchers from looking for 23-year-old Carson May by air. He was last seen skiing while off duty Thursday afternoon at Sugar Bowl Ski Resort near Norden.

LONDON (AP) — A new report from Amnesty International says women and girl migrants coming into Europe face violence and sexual harassment at every stage of their journey. The report was based on interviews with 40 women and girls in Germany and Norway last month who had traveled from Turkey to Greece and then across the Balkans. They said they felt especially under threat in Hungary, Croatia and Greece, where they were forced to sleep alongside hundreds of male refugees.
