LOS ANGELES (AP) — The New Orleans Pelicans have scratched power forward Anthony Davis from Tuesday night's game against the Los Angeles Lakers because of a bruised back.

The two-time All-Star, who leads the club in scoring and rebounding, was injured when he dove over the first row of seats chasing a loose ball early in the Pelicans' 91-86 home loss to Indiana on Friday night.

Davis has missed four previous games this season, and the Pelicans have lost all of them — including Sunday's 114-111 overtime defeat against the Clippers at Staples Center. Last season, New Orleans was 6-8 when Davis didn't play.

The Pelicans have a game Wednesday night at Sacramento.
