CLINTON, S.C. (AP) — DeSean Murray scored 23 points and grabbed 15 rebounds and Presbyterian rallied in the second half to beat Longwood 78-65 on Wednesday night.
Markus Terry added 22 points with five 3-pointers and Reggie Dillard had 16 points for the Blue Hose (7-8, 2-2 Big South). Terry and Dillard combined for 10 of Presbyterian's 22 free throws.
Trailing by five at halftime, Murray, averaging a league-leading 20.9 points per game, tied it at 37 with a free throw, then put the Blue Hose ahead for good with two straight baskets. Longwood closed to within 62-58 on a layup by Khris Lane, but Presbyterian pulled away 69-61 with 2:24 left on a 7-1 run in which Murray scored four and the Lancers got no closer.
Lane scored 16 points, Kanayo Obi-Rapu added 14, and Lotanna Nwogbo 12 for Longwood (4-13, 0-4). Bryan Gee had four assists.
