LORETTO, Pa. (AP) — Ben Millaud-Meunier made five 3-pointers and scored 24 points to help St. Francis (Pa.) beat Sacred Heart 84-80 on Monday night.
St. Francis led by just one point at halftime, but Millaud-Meunier hit three consecutive 3-pointers to start an 11-0 run for a 46-38 lead.
Quincy McKnight and Cane Broome hit back-to-back 3-pointers to pull Sacred Heart to 81-78 with 14 seconds left. After St. Francis went 1 for 2 from the line, Broome made a layup to get within 82-80. But Millaud-Meunier hit two free throws with four seconds left to seal it.
Millaud-Meunier was 7 of 8 from the free-throw line, and Greg Brown hit 8 of 11 at the stripe and finished with 19 points for St. Francis (6-7, 2-0 Northeast). Ronnie Drinnon had 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Broome scored 29 points, 10 coming on free throws, for Sacred Heart (2-11, 1-1).
