GREENSBORO, N.C. (AP) — Tarik Cohen ran for 106 yards and two touchdowns to lead North Carolina A&T to a 61-7 win over Shaw in the season opener for both teams Saturday.

Cohen, the preseason offensive player of the year in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference, needs 928 rushing yards to become the all-time leading rusher in school history.

North Carolina A&T's Lamar Raynard passed for 188 yards with three touchdowns and an interception. Caleb Gabriel returned a kickoff 92 yards for a touchdown and Marquis Willis had a 32-yard pick-six for the Aggies.

Danny Webster and Quenton Rucker combined to complete five of 14 passes for 60 yards against two interceptions for Division II Shaw. The Bears were held to 44 yards on the ground in 30 attempts. Bruce Parker Jr. returned an interception 85 yards for a touchdown for the team's lone score.
