Sam Penrod ReportingThat fake roommate we told you about this week, who ripped off his roommate's property in Provo, is at it again. But this time he got caught.

Joshuah Shelley was arrested tonight in Pocatello, Idaho, near the campus of Idaho State University. He was arrested by Idaho State University police. And it all sounds very similar to what three BYU students told us this week about how they came home and found all of their valuables and their new roommate gone.

The apartment manager says Shelley showed up and asked if there were any LDS church members looking for a roommate, especially those who were returned missionaries. He claimed he was from England this time-- to his victims in Provo he said he was from Ireland.

But the scam he used in Provo, getting away with seven thousand dollars worth of property, did not work.

Bradley Dance, Apartment Manager: "When he brought up that my sister was at BYU, I and brought up her specific name. That was, ok, this was the same guy that has been doing this up there and that I had heard about going on in Provo."

Apparently Shelley was almost caught yesterday in Rexburg at BYU-Idaho.

Police did recover most of the items Shelley is believed to have stolen from Provo. For now, Shelley is in jail in Idaho facing several charges. We just got off the phone with Shelley's roommates he ripped off in Provo and they were glad to hear instead of finding new roommates in Idaho, he has some cellmates now.
