OGDEN, Utah (AP) — The city of Ogden's iconic water tower is going to have a little work done.
The Standard-Examiner reports that the tower that looms over the city's biggest business park will get a new paint job, the first in 16 years.
Boyer Business Depot Ogden project manager Aaron Austad says it will take crews about a week to complete the job.
According to the business park, the 18-story, six-legged tower was built in the 1940s as part of a former military installation.
It can hold 250,000 gallons of water but hasn't been used in that capacity for decades.
Austad says there is no denying the tower serves as a symbol of the center.
