NEW YORK (AP) — Infielder Ryan Flaherty has been activated from the 15-day disabled list by the Baltimore Orioles, who recalled left-hander T.J. McFarland from Triple-A Norfolk.
The Orioles made the moves Friday before playing the New York Yankees. To clear roster spots, the Orioles put right-hander Kevin Gausman on the 15-day disabled list with right shoulder tendinitis, a move retroactive to Thursday, and optioned infielder Rey Navarro to Norfolk.
Flaherty had been out because of a strained right groin.
