UNDATED (AP) — The chief exit pollster for Britain's election says a Conservative majority in Parliament can't be ruled out. He says early results are "in line with the exit poll. It projects Prime Minister David Cameron's Conservatives will get 316 seats — up from 302 and far more than had been predicted in the 650-seat House of Commons. It says the Labour Party will get 239 seats — down from 256.

JERUSALEM (AP) — Israel is pushing ahead with a construction project in east Jerusalem that's causing a rift between Israel and the U.S. A settlement watchdog says it involves 900 hundred homes. Palestinians want the area as a future capital. The U.S. calls Israel's move "damaging and inconsistent" with resolving the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians with a two state solution.

WASHINGTON (AP) — The FBI identified a suburban Dallas contest involving cartoons depicting the Prophet Muhammad as a potential target for violence. Now, the agency says they learned several hours before the recent event that one of the two men fatally shot outside the building might show up and alerted local authorities. But the FBI says it had no indication he planned an attack there.

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — The Storm Prediction Center says "the conditions are right" for big tornadoes across the southern Plains over the next three days. Southern Kansas, western Oklahoma and parts of North Texas will likely bear the brunt of the storms. Those are some of the same areas that were hit by 51 twisters in the last two days.

PECOS, Texas (AP) — There are no reports of injuries after a remote area of North Texas was jolted by an earthquake that was unusually strong for the region. The U.S. Geological Survey says the magnitude 4.0 quake was recorded at 5:58 p.m. CDT today about 30 miles southwest of Dallas. It was the sharpest detected in North Texas since seismic activity in the area increased in recent months.
