SALT LAKE CITY — A missing 74-year-old woman was found in good condition by an "alert citizen" Thursday morning, police said.
Dancelle Mukandekezi, who is from Africa, was reported missing by her son, according to the Salt Lake City Police Department. Investigators said she had last been seen about 5 p.m. Wednesday standing in front of her apartment building, located at 341 E. 800 South.
She was missing for less than 24 hours, but detective Dennis McGowan said police were concerned because Mukandekezi can’t speak English and has several medical conditions, including asthma.
However, she was discovered by a citizen around 1:10 p.m. and police said she was in good condition.
Details about where she had been were not immediately available.
