GWINNER, N.D. (AP) — Minnesota-based CHS Inc. is planning a grain shuttle loading facility and dry fertilizer hub plant in the southeastern North Dakota city of Gwinner.
The farmer-owned cooperative hopes to open the 196-acre agricultural services campus next year, with the fertilizer plant opening in the spring and the grain facility in the fall.
The fertilizer facility will be part of Valley City-based CHS Dakota Plains. The grain-handling services will be jointly managed by CHS Dakota Plains and Kindred-based CHS Dakota Ag.
CHS Country Operations Regional Director Gary Goodroad says the facility "will bring much-needed speed and space to area farmers." CHS did not give a cost estimate for the project.
