FARGO, N.D. (AP) — The head of the North Dakota State University Development Foundation and Alumni Association is stepping down.
NDSU officials say Doug Mayo expressed interest to leave the group. Officials say executive committees passed a resolution approving a mutually agreed upon separation agreement.
Terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
Mayo took over the foundation last year. He replaced Jim Miller who retired after more than 30 years on the job.
Keith Bjerke (BYUHR'-kee) has been named interim president and CEO of NDSU's Development Foundation and Alumni Association. Bjerke is a North Dakota State University graduate, and a U.S. Marine Corp veteran.
School officials say Mayo has agreed to stay on through Jan. 31 to help with the transition.
