DALLAS (AFX) - Newspaper publisher Belo Corp. on Monday said it plans to offer a voluntary severance program to newsroom employees at the Dallas Morning News, citing "an increasingly Internet-centric market place."
The company said it has not yet set details or a timetable for the program.
Publishers of many major daily newspapers have recently expressed growing financial difficulties as their advertising dollars have followed readers online.
