HOLLYWOOD — The prince is having a ball, and we’re all invited.
After months of anticipation following a teaser trailer simply featuring a revolving glass slipper, Disney finally released a full-length trailer of their new, live-action “Cinderella.”
The two-and-a-half minute trailer offers a glimpse of Lily James as Cinderella and Cate Blanchett as her wicked stepmother.
The trailer provides Disney fans with a snapshot of Cinderella’s life, opening with her charmed childhood and continuing through her servitude, humiliation and eventual infatuation with the prince.
“Where there is kindness, there is goodness. And where there is goodness, there is magic,” Cinderella’s mother tells her in the trailer.
Helena Bonham Carter adds to the magic when she brandishes her wand, this time as the beloved Fairy Godmother.
And it does look magical.
Directed by Kenneth Branagh, “Cinderella” is slated to hit theaters in March 2015.
