The business climate in Utah continues to expand. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce has ranked Utah No. 1 for Economic Dynamism as well as listing Utah in the Top 5 in their annual Enterprising States report. Utah also remains high on Forbes list of the Best States for Business and Careers.
Next week, on October 21, the Mountain West Capital Network will be honoring some of Utah's top companies during the annual Utah 100 Awards Program. At the event they'll recognize Utah's 15 largest revenue companies, 100 fastest growing and the 15 emerging elite. This is a big event, with over 1,000 business leaders who attend, and it's expected to sell out.
Utah 100 Chair Rob Brough has lead a team of volunteers which has spent hundreds of hours putting this event together to recognize Utah's innovation and business climate. Rob has been impressed to see so many businesses innovating and growing across the state.
You may have heard about other events Mountain West Capital Network sponsors, like Entrepreneur of the Year or the annual Utah Deal Flow report. This is the only document in the state to report public offerings, financing transactions, acquisitions and mergers happening right in Utah.
This year the MWCN created a brand new way to support new ventures, Business Bootcamp. This is an opportunity for business owners to spend one day listening to industry experts speak on many subjects related to starting and growing a new venture. It's the first time in five years they've added a new event, and it was a smashing success. It comes back again next March.
