Police probe shooting outside dance club

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Police are investigating a shooting that occurred outside a dance club in the Sugar House neighborhood of Salt Lake City.

Salt Lake Police Lt. Carl Merino says a man was shot around 1 a.m. Sunday outside the Karamba club on 2100 South.

The man was shot in the chest but is expected to survive.

The Deseret News reports (http://bit.ly/1tzE12N) police believe a white Cadillac Escalade pickup truck was involved in the shooting.

Police ask anyone with information about the shooting to call 801-799-3000.
