SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A Salt Lake City woman is accused of driving her teenage son so he could shoot at rival gang members. Prosecutors say Lisa Egersdorf picked up her 17-year-old son from his school and was behind the wheel when he fired several shots at the group. No attorney has been listed in court records for Egersdorf or her son, and they could not be reached by the Associated Press for comment.
SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Eagle Mountain will flush about 1.2 million gallons of water from a city reservoir where a break-in occurred earlier this week, even though no contamination was detected. Eagle Mountain public works director Dave Norman says it's just a precaution and will cost the city about $1,000. They are also adding extra security to the city's water system.
SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Authorities say they have identified the person who posted what appeared to be a threat about the homecoming football game last weekend at Snow College in central Utah. The Utah Attorney General's office did not name the person and says no arrest has been made. The post said homecoming weekend would "go out with a bang."
SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Former Utah Attorney General Mark Shurtleff made an unexpected appearance at this week's alcohol board meeting to request a permit for business venture he's undertaking with his brother. The Salt Lake Tribune reports that Mark and Kevin Shurtleff were approved by the commission to make small aerosol inhalers that contain tiny amounts of alcohol.
