OCEANPORT, N.J. (AP) — Acini Di Pepe took the lead around the far turn and drew off in the stretch to win the $47,250 allowance feature at Monmouth Park on Saturday, beating Miami Music by 7 ½ lengths.
Trained by Michael Mullin and ridden by Ramon Moya, the 4-year-old colt ran a mile and 70 yards over a fast track in 1:43 and paid $3.40, $2.40 and $2.20. It was the second win in four career starts for Acini Di Pepe.
Miami Music returned $5.20 and $3.80, and Social Network paid $4.80.
