NEW YORK, Jun 13, 2006 (UPI via COMTEX) -- Former Hollywood wife Judy Steinberg has written a book aimed at helping women who are going through divorce and menopause at the same time.
Steinberg said when her comedian husband, David Steinberg, announced he wanted a divorce after 24 years of marriage, she was hit particularly hard because at age 54, she was struggling with menopause, the New York Daily News reported Tuesday.
"I went into a depression because I felt worthless," she said.
After a run-in with her ex's new girlfriend, Steinberg started to realize she should take a different route in dealing with her pain.
"I realized that living well was my best revenge," she said, adding at age 63, she is now often mistaken for being in her 40s. "I'd reached my 60s, but I wasn't six feet under. It didn't mean I couldn't have fun.
Steinberg's book, "Fabulous After 50 and Sexy at Sixty!," gives advice on getting over an ex, dating, dressing your best, managing your weight and "spicing up sex."
