SPARKS, Nev. (AP) — Sparks police are investigating what they believe to be an accidental drowning at a residential swimming pool.

Police say they were called at about 12:30 p.m. Sunday to a home on Gwynelle Court where they found an unresponsive woman in the pool. She was identified on Monday as 31-year-old Kristen Denler.

The owner of the property says she was renting the house. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Her death remains under investigation but officers say it is considered an accident. They also say alcohol may have been a factor in the death.
