PAGE, Ariz. (AP) — Authorities have identified a 41-year-old New Mexico woman who went missing in the waters of Lake Powell over the weekend and was later found dead.

The body of Pamela Hammitt of Gallup was recovered near Lone Rock Beach on Monday morning, two days after park officials received an emergency call about her and launched a search effort.

Officials at the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area say the cause of death appears to be drowning.
