SALT LAKE CITY — Police are searching for a man who burglarized a local business of bagels and espresso beans May 23.
The burlgary took place at the Caffe Expresso at 902 S. 1100 East around 2:30 a.m., according to Salt Lake City police. Video surveillance showed the man breaking the service window in the drive-thru and taking bagels and chocolate-covered espresso beans from the counter inside.
Police said while the man reached through the window, he cut himself on the broken glass, leaving DNA evidence.
From surveillance footage, police said it appears the man is a white male around 20 years old with dark, medium-length hair. He was wearing a denim vest, jeans, white T-shirt and tennis shoes at the time of the burglary. Police said it also appeared he possibly had a shoulder bag. The man was carrying a skateboard.
